I ended 2016 with a 12.8 mile run on Daufuskie Island with friends. It was a 30 minute cold boat ride to the island and back. Fortunately, I took my heavy mountaineering jacket with me and that kept me toasty. Daufuskie is super nice. I want to hold an ultra on that island in the near future!
I started the new year with a short run on Tybee Island beach and followed that by a quick plunge in the Atlantic to symbolically wash away the dirt I accumulated in 2016 and start 2017 with a clean slate.
Yesterday, I was back at the gym grinding it out on the stair master with a forty pound pack. I followed that with pull ups and bar dips.
For the next two and a half weeks I am going to be working out intensely in my continued preparation for my Aconcagua climb next month and Easter Island run.
Thanks for stopping by.
